A drawing competition dedicated to the International Day of Peace will be held among schoolchildren

 

As part of the 75th anniversary of UNESCO, a drawing competition was announced among schoolchildren on the theme "Shaping peace together", dedicated to the International Day of Peace on September 21 .

The competition is held between schools of Baku, Sumgait and Absheron district with the support of the project of the Ministry of Education "Friend of the Schoolchildren" and UNESCO Clubs in Azerbaijan, as well as the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO.

The purpose of the contest is to draw the attention of children and youth to the International Day of Peace, which is celebrated annually by the UN and UNESCO on September 21, to instill in them a culture of peace, mutual understanding between peoples and nations, the importance of friendly relations, national values, tolerance and multiculturalism, as well as to raise the level of aesthetics, identify children with special talents and support the development of their abilities.

The competition is held among children and youth in three age groups (6-9, 10-14, 15-17 years). There will be 3 winners in each age group. In the first stage of the competition the winners will be determined in three age groups in each region, and then 9 winners in the respective age groups will be determined among them.

The acceptance of drawings for the first stage will last until November 15. The winners will be announced until November 30. The winners of the second stage will be announced in December.

In the competition, where preference will be given to the theme and the correct compositions, works expressing the inner world of the students will be selected.

At the end, the winners will be awarded honorary diplomas.
