Stefania Giannini: Azerbaijan is one of the most active countries in UNESCO

Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov met with the newly appointed UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education Stefania Giannini on the sidelines of the symposium dedicated to the candidacy of the Baku Expo 2025 in Paris.
 

Jeyhun Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with UNESCO. Minister gave detailed information about the reforms carried out in the field of education in our country and touched the importance of cooperation in this field. Minister noted that the State Program on Education and the National Strategy have been adopted in Azerbaijan. Jeyhun Bayramov also spoke about the reforms in the early childhood education and vocational education and the legal documents adopted in this sphere.
 

The sides exchanged views on the expansion of relations in the relevant spheres and discussed prospects of cooperation.
 

Stefania Giannini underlined Azerbaijan's active role in UNESCO and expansion of cooperation in the field of education.
